Heavy Rain

Heavy Rain is a new weather event introduced in the Mythical Update (March 14, 2026). When it begins, a giant Cthulhu entity spawns on the island. Hit it with your Shovel — each hit deals 5 damage. Cthulhu periodically attacks and applies the Ancient mutation (7.5×, green) to nearby fruits. If the community kills Cthulhu, everyone on the server receives a Lumenbark seed (Legendary) and Strange Weather immediately follows.

How to Fight Cthulhu

1Equip your Shovel before Heavy Rain starts — you'll need it immediately when Cthulhu spawns.
2Plant your best seeds first so they benefit from the Ancient mutation (7.5×) that Cthulhu applies to nearby crops while alive.
3Attack Cthulhu repeatedly with the Shovel — each hit deals 5 damage. The whole community hits it together.
4When Cthulhu is defeated everyone on the server receives a Lumenbark seed — a Legendary multi-harvest plant exclusive to this boss encounter.

Planting Strategy

Equip your Shovel and attack Cthulhu for the kill reward. While Cthulhu is alive it will apply the powerful Ancient mutation (7.5×) to your crops — more valuable than Starstruck (6.5×). Plant your best seeds before hitting so they benefit from Ancient attacks. After the kill, Strange Weather spawns with increased Strange mutation chance — stay planted.

Ancient is a powerful 7.5× green mutation triggered by the Cthulhu boss during Heavy Rain weather. The giant Cthulhu entity periodically attacks crops and applies Ancient to fruits in range. Defeating Cthulhu with a Shovel (5 damage per hit) rewards a Lumenbark seed (Legendary) for everyone on the server and triggers Strange Weather.
