Mutated Weather Event weather icon in Garden Horizons⭐ Special Event

Mutated Weather Event

Mutation:Spawns Strange Weather → Strange (2×)
Growth:TBA
Spawn:Every 30 minutes

Mutated Weather is a recurring IGMA event that fires every 30 minutes (added v1.3.0). It is an event, not a standalone weather type — when it activates, Strange Weather automatically spawns, giving all crops a chance at the Strange mutation (2×). Simultaneously, Rosalind and two other IGMA agents land by helicopter above the Seed Shop area. Submit Strange-mutated fruits to the IGMA head to earn permanent milestone rewards — points are based on fruit rarity (common=1, uncommon=2, rare=3, epic=4, legendary=5) and never reset. See Rosalind's NPC page for the full reward table.

Spawn Probabilities (from game code)

Natural weather only — admin events excluded

This table shows the probability of each weather event spawning in-game. The data is based on leaked game source code — each weather type has a weighted spawn chance, and the total weight of all natural events adds up to 15. Admin-only events (Meteor Shower, Tsunami, Lucky Block Seed Rain) cannot spawn naturally and are excluded from this table.

How Weather Works in Garden Horizons

Weather in Garden Horizons changes on a random 5-minute cycle. Every 5 minutes the current weather event ends and a new one is selected based on weighted spawn probabilities extracted from the game's source code. There is no fixed schedule or pattern — you cannot predict which weather comes next.

Each weather type has a spawn weight and a cooldown timer. For example, Fog has the highest weight (5 out of 15 total = 33.3% chance) and a 15-minute cooldown, while Starfall has the lowest weight (1/15 = 6.7%) and the longest cooldown of 30 minutes. Once a weather event finishes, it cannot reappear until its cooldown expires.

Some weather events are admin-only — they never spawn naturally and only appear during special live events like Admin Abuse. These include Meteor Shower (Meteoric 10×), Tsunami (Tidal 2×), Lucky Block Seed Rain (free seeds), and Beam Clash (Salad/Banned 10×).

⏱️Duration

Every weather event lasts exactly 5 minutes. New weather rolls immediately after.

🎲Random Selection

Weather is not on a fixed cycle. Each roll uses weighted probabilities from the game code.

🔄Cooldowns

Each event has a 10–30 minute cooldown preventing back-to-back repeats.

Weather Mutations — Quick Reference

Every weather event (except Sunny) has a chance to apply mutations to your crops. Mutations are value multipliers — a Shocked (4.5×) fruit sells for 4.5 times its base price. Multiple mutations stack additively, and variants like Lush multiply on top.

Best Weather for Farming in Garden Horizons

Not all weather events are equal. The best weather depends on your goal — do you want fast growth, high-value mutations, or both? Here is the definitive weather tier list for farming efficiency:

S

Plant your most expensive seeds immediately. Storm gives +50% growth AND Shocked (4.5×) at 2.5% chance — the best all-round event. Starfall offers Starstruck (6.5×) at 2.5% — the highest natural multiplier. Both are rare at 6.7–13.3% spawn rate.

A

Good growth boosts (+20–25%) with useful mutations. Rain triggers Soaked/Flooded which feed into combo mutations like Frostbit (3.5×) and Muddy. Sandstorm gives Sandy (2.5×) — needed for Muddy combo.

B

Low-tier mutations but important for combos. Fog triggers Foggy/Chilled — both needed for Mossy (3.5×) combo. Snow gives Snowy/Chilled/Frostbit but slows growth by 15%. Plant cheap seeds during these.

C
☀️ Sunny

No growth boost, no mutations. Use this time to organize your garden, sell fruit to Steve, or set up sprinklers for the next event. Ironically, Sunny is one of the rarest natural events at only 6.7%.

Pro Tip: Sprinkler + Weather Stacking

Sprinklers stack with weather growth boosts! A Super Sprinkler (2× growth) during Storm (+50% growth) means your crops grow extremely fast. Place all three sprinkler types (Basic + Turbo + Super) before a rare weather event hits for maximum effect. Check the live stock page to see the current weather in real time.

Weather FAQ

How often does weather change in Garden Horizons?

Weather changes every 5 minutes. Each weather event lasts exactly 5 minutes, then a new random weather is selected based on weighted spawn probabilities.

Can you predict the next weather event?

No — weather is random with weighted probabilities. Fog is most common (33.3%), while Starfall is the rarest natural event (6.7%). Check the live stock page for current weather.

What is the best weather for making money?

Storm (Shocked (4.5×) at 2.5% chance + +50% Grow Speed) and Starfall (Starstruck (6.5×) at 2.5% chance) are the best events.

Do weather mutations stack with each other?

Yes! Mutations are additive using the formula Σ(multipliers) + 1 − n. Then variants like Lush (3×) multiply on top. See the mutations page for full details.

What are admin-only weather events?

Mutated Weather Event, Strange Weather, Heavy Rain, DJ Kine, Beam Clash, Manny's Mishap, Meteor Shower, Tsunami, Lucky Block Seed Rain are admin-only events that never spawn naturally. They only appear during special live events (Admin Abuse).

Does weather affect sprinklers?

Weather growth boosts stack with sprinkler boosts. During Storm (+50% Grow Speed) crops grow extremely fast. However, Snow (-15% Grow Speed) slows growth even with sprinklers.
