Barrel Cactus is a new Uncommon multi-harvest island plant added in the Islands Update. Wild spawn on The Forgotten Isle, harvested with a Machete (Cutting tier 2). Each wild node has 50 durability and replenishes after 90 seconds. 3 minute grow, 4 minute fruit regrow, 0.10 kg base weight, 2 Shillings base value (6 at Lush).

Barrel Cactus is the first plant unlocked after buying a Machete for 500 Pearls. Combined with Prickly Pear (same Machete tier), it forms the early-game Machete rotation. Very low sell value — its purpose is Flora Book completion and Machete unlock milestone, not late-game farming.
