Wood is the second Islands Update crafting material, datamined from `ExpansionDefinitions.ForgottenIsle.Onboarding.MaterialYield.Wood = 2`. Wood combines with Nails to repair Capt' Roger's boat and unlock The Forgotten Isle. Yield per pickup is 2, double the Nails rate — expect trees/logs to be the primary source based on the double-yield hint and the tropical island setting.

You need 6 Wood to repair the boat. At 2 per pickup that's 3 successful gathers minimum. Wood is likely gathered from island/coastal trees rather than random world spawns — the Machete tool name suggests foliage-cutting gameplay. Farm Wood alongside Nails to avoid double-runs.
