Garden Horizons Bandit Raid — Event Survival & Loot Guide

Bandit Raid is a 7-minute weather event that spawns Raid Bandit and Raid Pirate enemies near the shops — described in-game as "Raiders are hitting the shops! Fight them off with your SHOVEL!" Raiders never respawn once killed and clearing the whole wave pays out a lump-sum Pearl reward. This guide covers kill order, cover positioning, and the tools that clear each Raider fastest.

Bandit Raid is a 7-minute event weather added in the Islands Update. Description in-game: “Raiders are hitting the shops! Fight them off with your SHOVEL!” The event triggers a scripted invasion — Raid Bandit (60 HP, Knife, 10-15 Pearls per kill) and Raid Pirate (140 HP, Flintlock at 130 studs per second, 45-70 Pearls per kill) spawn in waves near the shops. Raiders do NOT respawn once killed. Clear them all and the event ends.

Reward Structure

The Pearl payout is delivered as a lump sum when the last Raider falls. A typical raid composition (5 Bandits + 3 Pirates) drops roughly 175-345 Pearls depending on the roll — comparable to 5-10 minutes of Cactus node farming, delivered in one go. If you die during a raid, you lose the payout for enemies still alive.

Kill Order and Cover Positioning

The correct kill order is Raid Bandits first, Raid Pirates last. Reasons:

  • Raid Bandits are 60 HP melee — Machete two-shots each (15 damage × 4 hits). Fast clear, low incoming damage.
  • Raid Pirates are 140 HP with a Flintlock at 40-stud range. Every second they spend alive is another 18-damage shot fired.
  • Fighting Pirates and Bandits at the same time in the open is suicide — Pirates will melt you while you swing at Bandits.

Use cover aggressively. Buildings, trees, chests, and terrain all break the Flintlock line of sight. Once inside 10 studs of a Pirate, they cannot line up the shot easily — burst them down with GoldScimitar (5 hits) or CrystalPickaxe (4 hits).

Best Tools for the Raid

  • Bandit clear: Machete (two-shot) or better.
  • Pirate clear: GoldScimitar (five-shot) or CrystalPickaxe (four-shot). Scimitar takes six hits — leaves you exposed for one extra Flintlock shot.

Position and Route

Head to the shops area (Roger's tool stand and Aladdin's Pearl Shop) at the start of the raid — that is where Raiders concentrate. Use the shop stands themselves as cover: their walls block Flintlock projectiles. Circle the shop clockwise, poke out to kill one Raider, retreat. Repeat until only Pirates remain, then burst them from cover.

What NOT to Do

  • Do not fight in the open field. Pirates will kill you before you close distance.
  • Do not kite Bandits into Pirates. You want to isolate targets, not group them.
  • Do not skip the raid — the lump-sum Pearl payout is worth several minutes of farming, delivered in one shot.
