Quick answers to common Garden Horizons questions

Q

What is Garden Horizons?

A

Garden Horizons is a Roblox gardening game by Dawn Digital, releasing 22 February 2026. It features deep plant economics, weather-based mutations, and a fully PVE environment.

Q

Can other players steal my plants?

A

No. Garden Horizons is a pure PVE game. Your plants and crops are fully protected – no stealing, no gifting mechanics.

Q

What is the Lush variant and how do I get it?

A

Lush is a 3× multiplier ripening stage. It requires 7.2× the plant's base grow time while you are online. A Lush plant with Shocked+Starstruck mutations gives 10× mutation × 3 (Lush) = 30× the base price.

Q

How do mutations work in Garden Horizons?

A

Weather events trigger mutations. Multiple mutations use the formula: Σ(multipliers) + 1 − n (n = number of mutations). For example: Shocked (4.5×) + Starstruck (6.5×) = 4.5+6.5+1−2 = 10× mutation multiplier, × 3 (Lush) = 30× final multiplier. This is confirmed empirically — NOT simple addition.

Q

When does Bill restock seeds?

A

Bill restocks every 5 minutes. Weather changes randomly and is not tied to the shop timer — keep an eye on the sky and plant accordingly when a good event appears.

Q

What is the best plant for beginners?

A

Carrot (🥕) – costs only 20 Shillings, base sell 30, Lush sell ~90. Fast grow time means you reach Lush quickly. For mid-game, Beetroot (2,500 buy / 3,750 base) is excellent.

Q

What is Plot 3 and why is it recommended?

A

Plot 3 (Canyon) is strategically optimal because it has the shortest walking distance to Town Square (where Bill, Molly and Steve are), saving valuable time.

Q

What is the Favoriting Tool?

A

A 80,000 Shilling tool sold in a 2-pack that marks plants with a golden star, preventing accidental harvest or sale. The gold star is only visible when holding the tool. The tool is consumed both when favoriting AND when unfavoriting a fruit.

Q

Does Plant Cap affect mutation chances?

A

No – each plant has its own independent mutation timer. Filling to Plant Cap maximises your total mutations since every plant rolls independently.

Q

What are upcoming features?

A

Console support was added in v1.2.0 (March 7, 2026) with full gamepad controls. Four Gamepasses are now live: Harvest Hand (10% double harvest), Fertile Soil (20% faster growth), Gear Mastery (10% gear not consumed), and Botanist's Blessing (20% cheaper appraisals + higher mutation chance). Coming next: Pets (non-tradeable, growth buffs), a Trading feature (confirmed by developers, no stealing), island exploration, and seasonal events. Leaked rarity tiers beyond Legendary — Divine, Celestial, Transcendent, and Eternal — suggest a major progression expansion is planned. Frogs are coming soon to help with plant growth.

Q

Do plants grow offline?

A

Yes! Since the v1.2.0 Console Update (March 7, 2026), ripening now progresses while offline. Plants grow from seed to tree, fruit appears, AND ripening stages (Unripe → Ripened → Lush) all advance while you are logged out. Previously ripening was online-only, but this was changed in v1.2.0. Sprinklers still do not affect ripening speed — they only boost growth and fruit size.

Q

What are Admin Abuse events?

A

Admin Abuse events are developer-run live events where the game creators (like Ymir) trigger special in-game occurrences. These events are not announced far in advance and can include unique lore reveals, map changes, and surprises. Follow the official Discord to stay notified.

Q

Can I reset quests for seed packs?

A

Yes — after completing a daily or weekly quest, you can pay Shillings to reset it and receive a new quest. The cost increases with each subsequent reset, and the reward (Shillings or seed packs) is randomized. This is the best free method to farm seed packs.
